Role Description The IT Developer is a full-time, on-site role based in Tasek Gelugor. This role is responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining software applications and internal systems that support booking, scheduling, and operational workflows. Day-to-day tasks include writing clean and efficient code, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, performing system updates, and integrating third-party tools or APIs where needed. The IT Developer will collaborate with operations and management to understand business requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and ensure systems are secure, stable, and user-friendly. The role also involves documenting technical processes, providing basic user support on developed systems, and continuously improving existing applications to enhance performance and reliability.
Qualifications

• Strong skills in software development, including proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript).
• Experience with web or desktop application development, including working with frameworks, libraries, and basic UI/UX principles.
• Knowledge of databases and SQL, with the ability to design, query, and maintain relational databases.
• Understanding of system integration, APIs, and basic networking concepts relevant to application deployment and connectivity.
• Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git) and standard development workflows.
• Ability to analyze requirements, document technical specifications, and translate business needs into practical technical solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to writing maintainable, well-documented code.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with non-technical stakeholders in an on-site environment.
• Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Prior experience in a travel, transport, or service-based company is an advantage but not required.
