We're looking for a junior Software Solutions Engineer to sit between our clients and our Sales / Project Manager teams. You'll spend your time understanding what a client actually needs, reasoning about the right solution, and building quick prototypes to prove it out before a line of production code is written. Think of it as a forward deployed engineer role: technical enough to build, curious enough to keep asking "why," and clear enough to write it all down.

You'll see dozens of different businesses a year and learn how software with AI creates real value across all of them.

What you’ll do

• Understand the problem first. Dig into a client's pain points, systems, and workflows until you genuinely understand what's broken and why.
• Reason about the solution. Translate business and technical needs into a practical, high-level solution approach as a trusted technical advisor.
• Build to prove it. Rapidly create working prototypes and interactive demos using AI coding agents (e.g. Cursor, Claude Code, Codex) to validate ideas and de-risk proposals.
• Write it down clearly. Produce well-structured requirements and scope documents that a senior Project Manager can review and turn into a real project plan. Good writing is good thinking.
• Coordinate on scope and cost. Work with Project Managers to shape estimates and define the scope of work.
• Keep learning. Stay on top of the latest developments, tools, and trends in software, especially the fast-moving AI space.
• Grow into Project Manager or Solution Consultant. Over time, by joining sales team on calls, contribute to proposals and presentations, and eventually represent Oursky at seminars and workshops. You will grow into a more technical Project Management position, or business Solution Consultant.

What we’re looking for in you…

• A genuine passion for technology: side projects, hackathons, bootcamps, or anything you've built because you wanted to.
• You understand the problem before proposing the solution. You're a thoughtful thinker who connects technology to business impact.
• You can write clearly and explain complex concepts in plain language.
• Fluency with AI coding tools to go from idea to a convincing prototype quickly.
• Not afraid of reading technical documentation. A hunger for knowledge.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, in English and Cantonese.
• Fresh graduates are welcome.

Bonus Qualifications

• Any client-facing or presales exposure.
• Working knowledge of web, mobile, or AI technologies (machine learning, LLMs, and the tooling around them).
• Experience in a fast-paced startup or team.
