Job Title: Physical Security Specialist

Location: Penang, Malaysia

Employment Type: Contract

Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Physical Security Specialist to support the safety and security of facilities, employees, visitors, and company assets. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring security operations, enforcing security policies, coordinating incident response, and ensuring compliance with organizational security standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain the physical security of the facility.
• Conduct regular security patrols and inspections.
• Manage access control systems and visitor management processes.
• Investigate security incidents and prepare incident reports.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external security service providers.
• Monitor CCTV systems and respond to security alarms.
• Ensure compliance with company security policies and security procedures.
• Support emergency response activities, evacuation drills, and business continuity initiatives.
• Identify potential security risks and recommend preventive measures.
• Maintain accurate security records, logs, and documentation.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in physical security, corporate security, facility security, or a similar role.
• Experience with access control systems, CCTV monitoring, and incident management.
• Knowledge of security risk assessment and emergency response procedures.
• Strong communication, observation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is an added advantage.
• Willing to work shifts if required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a multinational manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of security compliance, investigations, and emergency management.
• Professional security certifications are an added advantage.
