Role Description

This full-time Litigation Clerk role is an on-site position based in Johor Bahru at Law Chanbers of Vin Sa & Ian, Johor Bahru Branch. The Litigation Clerk supports lawyers in litigation matters by preparing, organizing, and filing legal documents and court papers. Key responsibilities include managing case files, maintaining accurate records, and tracking deadlines for hearings, submissions, and follow-ups. The role involves liaising with court staff and external parties, scheduling appointments, and assisting with the logistics of hearings and trials. The Litigation Clerk also helps with basic legal research, drafting simple correspondence, and providing administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations of the litigation practice.

• Strong foundation in Law and familiarity with litigation procedures.
• Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation and case file management.
• Knowledge of Courts processes, filing requirements, and hearing schedules.
• Experience providing Legal Assistance and support to legal practitioners.
• Effective Communication skills for interacting with colleagues, clients, and court personnel.
• Diploma or degree in law or related field preferred; relevant legal clerk or paralegal experience is an advantage.
• High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Proficiency in office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets) and document management systems.
• Ability to work on-site in Johor Bahru, demonstrate professionalism, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
