The Program Director – Enterprise Architecture is a senior leadership role responsible for providing strategic direction, governance, and oversight of enterprise-wide technology programs to ensure alignment with the organization's business objectives and enterprise architecture. The role leads the planning and execution of complex IT initiatives, establishes architectural governance and standards, and ensures technology investments support the organization's long-term digital strategy. Working closely with the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Enterprise Architects, and key business stakeholders, the Program Director drives technology transformation, fosters cross-functional collaboration, and ensures the successful delivery of strategic initiatives that create sustainable business value.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and drive the overall IT program strategy, ensuring alignment with the organization's business objectives, technology roadmap, and enterprise architecture.
- Define program scope, objectives, priorities, and deliverables in collaboration with key business and technology stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain program governance frameworks, standards, methodologies, and processes in accordance with PMO and Enterprise Architecture principles.
- Develop and maintain integrated program roadmaps, ensuring alignment across strategic initiatives, business priorities, and enterprise architecture.
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of enterprise-wide technology programs, ensuring successful delivery within approved scope, budget, timeline, and quality standards.
- Manage program interdependencies, resource allocation, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure effective execution of strategic initiatives.
- Monitor program performance, proactively manage risks and issues, and escalate critical matters to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and other senior stakeholders as required.
- Ensure all programs comply with enterprise architecture standards, cybersecurity requirements, regulatory obligations, and organizational governance policies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with executive leadership, business stakeholders, Enterprise Architects, technology teams, and external vendors to drive collaboration and strategic alignment.
- Provide regular updates on program progress, risks, financial performance, and key decisions to the CTO, senior management, and relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor program performance against established KPIs and benefits realization objectives, ensuring technology investments deliver measurable business value.
- Drive continuous improvement in program governance, delivery methodologies, and operational practices to strengthen organizational capabilities and support the organization's long-term digital transformation.
Requirement:
- Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related discipline. A Master's Degree is an added advantage.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in IT, with a proven track record in leading large-scale enterprise technology programs, program governance, and enterprise architecture, including the management of cross-functional teams and complex stakeholder environments.
- Demonstrate strong strategic leadership, business acumen, and communication skills, with the ability to align technology initiatives with business objectives, influence senior management and technical stakeholders, and drive enterprise-wide transformation.
- Possess strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks, IT delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid), IT governance, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices. Professional certifications such as PMP, PgMP, TOGAF, or equivalent, are preferred.
