Key Responsibilities
Investigate Statistical Bin Limit (SBL) excursions and support maverick lot disposition decisions through data analysis and structured troubleshooting.
Extract, interpret and analyze test data to identify failure signatures, determine root causes, and recommend accurate lot disposition.
Perform Physical Failure Analysis (PFA) activities to support NPI, qualification and high-volume manufacturing.
Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and cross-functional teams to resolve product and process-related issues.
Conduct failure confirmation, characterization, correlation studies and failure mechanism identification using diagnostic tools and laboratory equipment.
Perform package de-processing, sample preparation, cross-sectioning, defect localization, and failure verification activities.
Operate and maintain laboratory tools including FIB, SEM, EDX, Ion Miller, Thermal EMMI, X-Ray, IV Curve Tracer, Oscilloscope, Micro-Prober and other FA equipment.
Capture, organize and analyze failure analysis data, images and findings, and prepare detailed technical reports with clear conclusions.
Coordinate equipment maintenance, calibration, upgrades and vendor support to ensure laboratory readiness.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce SBL triggers, improve disposition efficiency, enhance FA methodologies, increase productivity and reduce rework.
