Teammate App ( ************* ) is a Compliance Management Software. We have around 10,000 users. We're relatively new (4 years old) and have had huge growth. Now we want to stablise the features and implement the next phase of our growth which is making the application international.

About the Role

We're looking for a hands-on Senior Technical Lead to take ownership of the technical integrity of the Teammate App platform — a full-stack workforce management product spanning a NestJS backend, a React Native/Expo mobile & web app, and a React admin panel. This is not a purely managerial role: you'll be in the codebase daily, writing code, reviewing PRs, and getting to the root of hard bugs — while also setting technical direction and using AI tooling (Claude Code and similar) to accelerate delivery across the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Hands-on development — write and review production code across backend, frontend, and mobile; don't just delegate, ship features and fixes yourself.
• System integrity — own the architectural health of the platform: enforce consistent patterns, prevent regressions, and guard against scope creep or unsafe shortcuts across all repos.
• Root-cause troubleshooting — when bugs or production incidents occur, drive investigation past the symptom to the actual cause, and ensure fixes address it (not just patch the surface).
• AI-assisted engineering — heavy, deliberate use of AI coding tools (Claude, Claude Code) for implementation, code review, debugging, and documentation; set standards for how the team uses AI tooling safely and effectively.
• Full-stack ownership — comfortable operating across:
• Backend — Node.js/NestJS, MongoDB/Mongoose, Redis, REST API design
• Frontend (web) — React, TypeScript, modern state management
• Mobile — React Native/Expo, cross-platform (iOS/Android/web)
• DevOps — CI/CD pipelines, deployment, environment management, monitoring/observability
• Code quality & review — set and enforce code review standards; mentor other engineers on best practice.
• Technical decision-making — evaluate trade-offs on architecture, tooling, and technical debt; document and communicate decisions clearly.
• Cross-functional collaboration — work closely with product/leadership to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a senior engineer or tech lead on a production full-stack application, ideally with mobile.
• Strong hands-on skills across backend and frontend — this is a "player-coach" role, not purely oversight.
• Demonstrated experience diagnosing and resolving complex, hard-to-reproduce bugs (not just surface-level fixes).
• Practical, daily experience using AI coding assistants (Claude/Claude Code, Copilot, or similar) as part of a real engineering workflow — able to speak to how you get reliable, safe output from them.
• Solid understanding of DevOps fundamentals — deployment pipelines, environment/config management, monitoring.
• Experience with NestJS/Node.js, MongoDB, React, and React Native (or directly transferable equivalents) preferred.
• Strong communication skills — able to explain technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
• High ownership mentality — treats the system's stability and integrity as personally accountable, not just "someone else's problem."

Pay: $7,000.00 - $12,000.00 per month

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Singapore (Singapore, Singapore)
