Job Description:

AMK NONYA KUEH PTE LTD is looking for a dedicated and hardworking Assistant Baker to support the daily production of traditional Nonya kueh and other baked products. The successful candidate will work closely with the production team to ensure products are prepared consistently, safely and efficiently while maintaining high quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation, mixing, baking, steaming and finishing of traditional Nonya kueh and other bakery products.
• Prepare and measure ingredients accurately according to standard recipes and production requirements.
• Operate food production equipment safely and efficiently.
• Monitor product quality throughout the production process to ensure consistency and compliance with company standards.
• Assist in decorating, portioning, packaging and labelling finished products.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of workstations, equipment and production areas in accordance with food safety regulations.
• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of bakery equipment.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in stock replenishment of ingredients and packaging materials.
• Work closely with the production team to ensure daily production targets and delivery schedules are achieved.
• Support seasonal promotions and large-volume production during festive periods.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and food hygiene practices at all times.
• Perform any other production-related duties assigned by management.

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in a bakery, central kitchen or food manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of baking techniques and food hygiene practices.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual handling tasks.
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
• Able to manage multiple tasks and meet tight production deadlines and urgent customer orders.
• Willing to work flexible hours, weekends and public holidays when required.
