Candidate must have the following experience and knowledge
Permit Preparation: Able cross-reference shipping invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading to prepare official declarations. [1, 2]
Digital Submission: Know how submit these declarations electronically through national trade networks (such as Singapore's TradeNet system) to obtain a Cargo Clearance Permit (CCP). [1, 2, 3]
HS Code Classification: They assign the correct Harmonized System (HS) codes to goods so authorities can apply the right taxes and tariffs. [1]
Compliance Checks: Able to coordinate with internal teams to flag controlled, restricted, or hazardous goods that require additional certificates from government agencies before shipping. [1, 2, 3]
Discrepancy Resolution: Able to handle daily shipment holds by correcting errors in weight, quantity, or values to prevent cargo from getting stuck at checkpoints
