Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Management, or any related field
- OSH-C certification (preferable)
- Knowledge of Malaysian OSH laws (OSHA 1994, FMA 1967, Environmental Quality Act)
- Able to conduct safety audits, incident investigation, and root-cause reporting
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 tools for report preparation
- Meticulous & able to work independently
- Ability to communicate with people of different functions & levels.
Scope of Duties
Policies and Procedure
- Assist in reviewing and updating existing EHS policies and procedures under HOD’s direction.
- Draft and proposed for JLL Malaysia EHS policy and procedure to the management
- Manage and maintain JLL Malaysia EHS policy and procedure to ensure the company comply with all currents and future government laws, policies and standards.
- Ensure all activities implemented in JLL Malaysia is according the JLL Malaysia EHS policies and procedures.
Safety and Health related Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement and review policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment for all employees at JLL Malaysia by meeting all the statutory requirements relating to occupational safety and health.
- To assist management in leading the health and safety committees and its’ activities.
- Liaising with law enforcement and local authorities such as, Fire and Rescue Department, DOE and DOSH when required.
- Conduct safety audits and on-site inspection to identify workplace hazards by keeping on the lookout for any unsafe behavior or breaks in regulations as per government rules and regulations and industry standards.
- Responsible in conducting near-miss accident and accident investigation, reports and root analysis to prevent re-occurrence.
- To notify any accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning and occupational disease which had occurred at workplace to DOSH.
- To collect, analyze and maintain the report on any accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning and occupational disease which had occurred at workplace.
- To plan and execute all safety related activities such as; fire drill and first aid training.
- Educate and train all employee on EHS related matters by providing training to new hire and all existing employee in periodically basis.
- Reviewing and reporting on the staff's compliance with health and safety rules and recommending commendations or dismissal based on performance to HOD.
- To protect and promote the health and safety of employees from hazards that may arise from workplace by performing health monitoring program.
- Environmental related Duties and Responsibilities:
- Management of all environment related matters including handling of chemical waste disposal.
- To update the eSWIS system on any scheduled waste generation in JLL Malaysia.
Additional Activities
- Compile, review, analyze and highlight sick leave trends to HOD
- Review and consult employees with health issues and continuous monitoring
- Report to HOD on the health condition of all employees periodically
