My client is a global Events & Exhibitions business with offices in APAC, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercial program manager centred on creating onsite content and activity programming, program research and development, and speaker acquisition for their Industrial portfolio of events in the Asia Pacific
The right candidate will have a minimum of 2 – 3 years’ experience within the event sector, with a track record of researching, developing and delivering conference and event programs. It would suite an existing conference producer looking for that next step, or an experienced event manager looking to add an event research and content element to their role. It will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to gain experience working on large scale events and exhibitions
- The role is multifaceted, requiring both the ability to research and develop compelling event programs that engage and drive the attendance of their intended audiences, whilst also managing project timelines and acting as a key point of contact for event stakeholders
- Develop and enhance engagement for attendees at the events
- In collaboration with the wider events team develop the onsite content program including workshops, site tours, and show floor content session themes and topics.
- Utilise primary research to create programs that are ‘must attend
- Identify, invite and confirm leading speakers both domestically and internationally
- Secure speakers at a level that will drive the success of the event
- Conduct handover with speaker care and maintain engagement with that process throughout
- Manage project timelines and ensure critical path goals are achieved
- Coordinate requirements for workshops and site visits
- In conjunction with marketing ensure that the event websites are accurate and up to date
- Play a key role in the onsite operational running of the event
- Be onsite to meet speakers and facilitate introductions between key players in your program
- Manage stakeholders’ expectations, and ensure that key relationships are maintained
- Keep up to date with market and industry developments
- Attend industry functions when required
- Use knowledge of the market and competitors to develop compelling events with a competitive edge
- Develop and contribute ideas and initiatives to improve and enhance event delivery
- Focus on creating an exceptional client and delegate experience to support retention across all revenue channels
