Position Summary
The Senior Procurement Executive is responsible for managing daily procurement activities, sourcing vendors, negotiating pricing, coordinating deliveries, and supporting project procurement requirements across exhibitions, events, and fit-out projects.
The ideal candidate should possess strong coordination skills, negotiation capability, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced project environment with tight timelines.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement Operations
- Manage day-to-day purchasing and procurement activities for project and operational requirements.
- Source suppliers and negotiate commercial terms.
- Work with project teams, understand purchase requirements and source accurately and efficiently.
- Managing procurement projects within operations to ensure alignments between costs, commercial needs, and operation execution.
Vendor & Supplier Coordination
- Evaluating supplier performance based on pricing, reliability, responsiveness, and service quality.
- Evaluate tender responses and conduct negotiations with shortlisted suppliers.
- Support supplier onboarding and vendor database maintenance.
Compliance & Process Management
- Ensure procurement activities comply with Company Policies, Procedures and Processes.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within procurement processes.
- Source for required materials, services, and suppliers in the domestic and international market.
- Identify global prospective suppliers.
- Understand market trend and seek to improve cost efficiency.
Requirements
- NITEC/Diploma of interior, event management, supply chain management, or a similar field preferred.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of procurement or purchasing experience.
- Experience in one or more of the following industries is a plus, Exhibition, Event production, Interior fit-out, Construction, Manufacturing, and Retail rollout projects
- Strong negotiation and supplier coordination skills.
- Good knowledge of procurement processes and vendor management.
- Able to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and procurement documentation.
- Experience using ERP or procurement systems is an advantage.
- Team player with strong organizational skills.
