Consulting Engineer – Cisco Enterprise Networking & Security

Multiple Openings | Malaysia | 12-Month Renewable Employment Term

We are hiring multiple Consulting Engineers to support enterprise networking and cybersecurity projects for a leading global technology organisation.

These positions are based in Malaysia and will be offered on an initial 12-month renewable employment term. We welcome experienced engineers with strong hands-on Cisco implementation, troubleshooting and customer-facing delivery experience.

Available Specialisations

Enterprise Networking – Three Openings

Suitable candidates should have experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Cisco routing and switching

• Cisco Catalyst switches and enterprise network infrastructure

• Cisco DNA Center or Catalyst Center

• Software-Defined Access (SDA)

• LAN, WAN, VLAN, STP, OSPF and BGP

• Network design, deployment, migration and troubleshooting

Network Security – Three Openings

Suitable candidates should have experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)

• Network Access Control and 802.1X

• Cisco firewalls and network security solutions

• Cisco Secure Network Analytics (SNA)

• Security policy implementation and enforcement

• Security solution deployment, migration and troubleshooting

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver Cisco enterprise networking or security solutions for customer environments.

• Participate in solution design, implementation, migration, testing and operational handover.

• Configure, integrate and troubleshoot relevant Cisco technologies.

• Analyse complex technical issues and recommend practical solutions.

• Prepare low-level designs, implementation plans, test plans and technical documentation.

• Work closely with project managers, architects, customers and regional technical teams.

• Support change activities and ensure implementations are completed according to approved procedures.

• Conduct knowledge-transfer sessions and provide post-implementation support where required.

• Communicate project progress, risks and technical issues clearly to relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

• Proven hands-on experience in Cisco enterprise networking or network security.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.

• Experience delivering implementation, migration or consulting projects in customer environments.

• Good understanding of network design, deployment and operational best practices.

• Able to prepare clear technical documentation and communicate effectively with customers.

• Good spoken and written English.

• Able to work independently while collaborating with regional and cross-functional teams.

• Cisco certifications such as CCNP Enterprise, CCNP Security or CCIE will be advantageous.

• Candidates with strong practical experience but without current certifications may also be considered.

• Location: Malaysia

• Employment term: Initial 12-month renewable term

• Number of openings: Six

• Target commencement: August to October 2026

• Early availability will be an advantage.

Candidates do not need to cover both Enterprise Networking and Security. Applicants may specialise in either technical track.
