Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Baker to join our bakery team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing a wide range of high-quality baked goods while maintaining consistency, food safety, and operational efficiency in a fast-paced bakery environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, mix, knead, proof, shape, and bake a variety of breads, pastries, cakes, cookies, and other baked products according to established recipes.
• Prepare fillings, creams, icings, and other bakery components as required.
• Decorate and finish baked goods to meet quality and presentation standards.
• Monitor dough fermentation, baking temperatures, baking times, and product quality throughout the production process.
• Plan daily production based on sales forecasts and operational requirements to minimise shortages and wastage.
• Ensure all baked products meet quality, freshness, and food safety standards before display or sale.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the bakery, equipment, and workstations in accordance with food safety regulations.
• Operate bakery equipment safely and perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance.
• Assist with inventory control, stock replenishment, and proper storage and rotation of ingredients using FIFO practices.
• Work closely with team members to meet daily production targets and customer demand.
• Comply with all company policies, workplace safety procedures, and Singapore food hygiene regulations.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in a commercial bakery, café, hotel, restaurant, or food production environment.
• Culinary or Baking certification preferred.
• Good knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and food safety practices.
• Ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
