Educational Qualification – Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related disciplines.
Preferred Certifications – Certifications such as Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst (PL-300), data analytics, financial modelling, or market research are advantageous.
Work Experience – Minimum 1 year of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, corporate planning, strategy, market research, investment analysis, commercial analysis, or similar fields; strong fresh graduates may also be considered.
Analytical Exposure – Experience with dashboards, management reports, presentations, research projects, analytical models, and data validation is preferred.
Industry & System Knowledge – Exposure to Power BI, agribusiness/palm oil commodities, SAP, or other enterprise data systems is an added advantage.
Technical Skills – Strong Power BI capabilities (Power Query, DAX, data modelling, Power BI Service) and advanced Excel skills including data cleaning, reconciliation, controls, and analytics.
Data & Research Competencies – Ability to perform data collection, cleaning, visualisation, KPI tracking, variance analysis, forecasting, statistical analysis, market research, and competitor benchmarking.
Communication & Digital Tools – Strong presentation and business writing skills, proficiency in PowerPoint, SQL, and basic Python or Microsoft Fabric; familiarity with AI tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Grok, or Perplexity is beneficial.
Personal Attributes – Highly analytical, detail-oriented, organised, proactive, capable of working independently, handling confidential information, meeting deadlines, and collaborating effectively with stakeholders.
Work Environment – Primarily office-based and screen-focused role, with occasional travel to operational sites and attendance at meetings outside normal working hours when required.
Responsibilities:
Manage and continuously maintain JPG’s Leadership Dashboard by ensuring accurate, validated, and timely data updates, testing, and publication.
Oversee the Leadership Viva Engage platform, including content drafting, fact-checking, scheduling, archiving, and performance monitoring.
Monitor market, industry, economic, and competitor developments and provide regular intelligence updates to support business decision-making.
Conduct benchmarking studies on industry peers and competitors, analyzing operational, financial, sustainability, and productivity performance indicators.
Ensure data integrity through validation, reconciliation, quality checks, documentation, and maintenance of supporting assumptions and methodologies.
Perform business performance analysis, forecasting, variance reviews, and scenario modelling to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
Maintain market and commodity datasets and models, including CPO and PK price forecasts, consensus tracking, and forecast variance analysis.
Prepare market, product, competitor, and pricing intelligence to support investment proposals, commercial evaluations, and feasibility studies.
Develop dashboards, charts, management reports, presentations, briefing papers, and evidence-based recommendations for leadership reviews and strategic planning.
Support business intelligence requests across the organization through research, data gathering, analysis, stakeholder engagement, issue resolution, and preparation of complete supporting documentation.
Special Duties:
Respond to urgent leadership requests and issue-resolution matters.
Attend site visits, meetings, and working sessions to gather information and follow up on actions.
Prepare meeting packs and supporting analyses when delegated.
Present findings internally, while external-facing conclusions remain subject to management review and approval.
