岗位职责

Job Description

  • To receive, sort and decontaminate soiled instruments from Operating Theatre and outpatient clinics.
  • Selecting the appropriate cleaning method to ensure instruments are processed safely and without damage.
  • Inspect surgical instruments for functionality, defects or breakage before assembling.
  • Assemble, pack and ensure accuracy of instruments and sets according to specifications and to document items packed.
  • Load, unload instruments/sets and ensure safe operation of all sterilization equipment in accordance with established procedure.
  • Sterilization quality assurance must be adhered and interpreted to ensure that items are sterile.
  • Maintain required documentation for work processes.
  • Maintain proper storage,check and replenish supplies and consumables
  • Pack and return sterile items to respective department.
  • Assist with inventory of equipment, instruments and supplies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by senior staff.

Job Requirements

  • GCE ‘N’ Level or Secondary education and able to read and write in English
  • WSQ Higher Certificate in Healthcare Support (Sterilization Services) or 1 - 2 years’ relevant experience is preferable
