Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Automation QA Engineer with strong expertise in Playwright, Java, and BDD automation frameworks. The ideal candidate will lead automation initiatives, design scalable test frameworks, mentor team members, and leverage on AI-powered testing tools to improve quality, productivity, and release velocity.

The ideal candidate is a self-driven engineer with strong software engineering and architecture fundamentals, automation engineering, cloud technologies, and modern application development. They should have a passion for learning emerging technologies, solving complex engineering challenges to transform the software delivery lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Strong experience in test automation and functional testing on banking domain. 

Strong knowledge in Playwright/Selenium with Java background.

Ability to develop and maintain automation scripts using Playwright/BDD with Java.

Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.).

Design, develop, and implement AI-driven solutions for software testing and Quality Engineering. 

Perform API automation using REST Assured or equivalent tools.

Should have experience in developing MCP tailored for specific use cases.

Collaborate with developers, product owners, and DevOps teams throughout the SDLC.

Review automation code and enforce coding standards and best practices.

Mentor junior and mid-level QA engineers.

Analyse automation execution results and drive defect management.

Optimize automation execution time and improve framework maintainability.

Evaluate and implement AI-powered testing capabilities.

Solid programming background with any modern programming language such as Java. 

Have working experience in areas of XDLC, Agile and DevOps. 

Requirements:

At least 8 years of experience in a similar role.

Knowledge on using AI-assisted coding tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, etc.).

Familiarity with prompt engineering for test automation.

Experience in Playwright with Java, BDD using Cucumber, Maven/Gradle, API Automation (REST Assured), Bitbucket/Git, CI/CD pipelines, Agile/Scrum

Leadership and Strong analytical skills

Excellent communication with problem-solving mindset
