Job Responsibilities


Work hand in hand with reservation staff & restaurant manager on table assignment and special requests.


Greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.
Have a good understanding of the menu and the workings of the restaurant.
Possess extensive and correct menu knowledge.
Be able to effectively control the host desk and communicate with customers regarding their reservation, wait times / walk in customers, etc.
Be able to follow and monitor out times and communicate all information to the Maître D’.
Offer appropriate seating arrangements
Ensure the quantity of menus is sufficient to cater to the number of guests.
Set up dining rooms and make reservation arrangements.
Maintain clean and organised tables and work area.
Assist take away service when necessary.
Manage event related work including setting up tables.



Prerequisite

Must have the ability to read, speak, understand, follow written directions, and verbal instructions in English.

Communicates information effectively and efficiently.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Possesses a positive, results-oriented, team-player mentality.

Ability to perform job duties and responsibilities well and maintain professionalism and composure under pressure and in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

Ability to under pressure and maintain professionalism when working under stress.

Able to work a flexible schedule in order to accommodate business levels (weekend, nights, and holiday availability required).

Familiarity with restaurant management software such as point of sales, reservations management, inventory management, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace.

Ability to execute steps of service in adherence with company policy.

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
