Job Description

• Industry/ Organization Type: Precision Manufacturing
• Position Title: Assistant Mechanical Engineer
• Working Location: Commonwealth
• Working Hours: 5 days (Mon – Fri, 8.30am – 6.00pm)
• Salary Package: Basic salary up to $3,300 + Performance Bonus
• Duration: Permanent Role

Key Responsibilities

• Help in creating mechanical system designs, including calculations, selecting components, and making drawings.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings and specifications for mechanical parts and systems.
• Review and verify design calculations for accuracy.
• Monitor project progress according to schedule and budget.
• Maintain project documentation, including technical reports and meeting notes.
• Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Assist with the on-site installation and setup of mechanical systems.
• Conduct quality checks on installed equipment and materials.
• Identify and troubleshoot technical issues during construction.
• Prepare purchase orders for mechanical components and equipment.
• Evaluate vendor proposals and source materials based on specifications.
• Research new technologies and materials relevant to mechanical engineering projects.
• Analyse engineering data to identify potential issues and suggest solutions.

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles, including material and design, assembly techniques.
• Skilled in utilizing Solidworks software for drawing creation and modification.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
