Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to manage project costs, prepare tender documents, administer contracts, and ensure projects are delivered within budget while maintaining quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents to support project bidding and budgeting
- Evaluate quotations and negotiate terms with suppliers and subcontractors to optimize project costs
- Prepare and assess subcontract agreements and contracts to ensure compliance and clarity
- Monitor project costs, budgets, and variations to maintain financial control throughout project lifecycle
- Prepare progress claims, payment certificates, and final accounts to facilitate accurate financial reporting
- Conduct site measurements and valuation of completed work to verify project progress and payments
- Assist in procurement of materials and subcontractors to support timely project execution
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures to mitigate risks
- Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and project teams to coordinate project activities and resolve issues
- Maintain accurate project documentation and cost records to support audit and reporting requirements
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Building Services
- Minimum 3 years of relevant Quantity Surveying experience, preferably in the construction industry
- Good knowledge of construction contracts, tendering processes, and cost control methods
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and quantity surveying software to perform cost analysis and documentation
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate costs and negotiate effectively with stakeholders
- Effective communication skills to liaise with diverse project teams and clients
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Good organizational and time management skills to handle multiple project tasks efficiently

Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience in commercial Additions & Alterations (A&A) and Fit-out Works tender projects
- Familiarity with Singapore construction standards and contract administration practices
