Automation Engineer

Location: Kuala Lumpur (Onsite)
Salary: Up to RM20,000/month

Job Summary

We are looking for an Infrastructure Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automation solutions that improve the efficiency, consistency, and scalability of infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and operational processes. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation tools, and CI/CD practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop automation frameworks to streamline infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and operational processes.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell DSC, and Python.
• Build reusable automation pipelines for server provisioning, middleware/database installation, F5 configuration, DNS, backup registration, and CMDB updates.
• Automate infrastructure build, deployment, configuration, and migration activities.
• Integrate automation solutions with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and compliance frameworks.
• Prepare technical documentation, runbooks, and reusable automation templates.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, and Architecture teams to ensure automation aligns with enterprise standards and governance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure automation or DevOps engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell DSC, Python, or similar automation tools.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and version control (e.g., Git).
• Strong understanding of Windows/Linux server infrastructure, networking, and cloud technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving, scripting, and communication skills.

Preferred: Experience with F5, DNS, CMDB, enterprise infrastructure migrations, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) is an added advantage.

Pay: RM15,000.00 - RM20,000.00 per month

Experience:

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): 5 years (Preferred)

Work Location: In person
