Algorithm Engineer – Digital Signal Processing

Location: Ang Mo Kio, Singapore

About the role

We are looking for an Algorithm Engineer to develop algorithms that transform raw satellite remote-sensing data into meaningful and actionable information.

You will work with satellite sensor and radar data, identify useful signals within complex datasets, conduct calibration experiments and improve overall data quality. This position is suitable for an analytical and detail-oriented engineer who is interested in satellite technology, digital signal processing and machine learning.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop algorithms for processing raw satellite sensor data.
• Develop machine-learning solutions for remote-sensing applications.
• Analyse and interpret radar and signal data.
• Conduct experiments to calibrate sensors and improve information quality.
• Develop innovative methods to extract meaningful insights from noisy datasets.
• Evaluate algorithm performance and identify opportunities for optimisation.
• Document technical findings, experimental results and algorithm performance.
• Provide technical support during pre-sales and post-sales activities.
• Collaborate with engineering, product and customer-facing teams.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics or a related discipline.
• Knowledge of algorithm design and development.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and deliver results.
• Proactive, motivated and detail-oriented working style.
• Good technical communication and documentation skills.
• Singapore citizenship is required.

Advantageous experience

• Knowledge of digital signal processing.
• Experience processing radar, sensor or time-series data.
• Exposure to machine learning or statistical modelling.
• Experience with satellite remote sensing, geospatial data or signal analysis.
• Familiarity with NumPy, SciPy, pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Experience designing experiments for data calibration and quality improvement.
