Job Summary:
Acts as primary IT representative for all meeting room, collaboration space, and telecom system builds for new facility projects (new builds and refreshes)
Provides support for hybrid, in-person, and virtual meetings including configuring webinar settings, controlling in-meeting functions, and operating AV equipment such as microphones and presentation laptops
Monitors and troubleshoots existing meeting room and telecom systems deployed in various facilities
Focus on implementing AV room devices outage preventive measures and self-healing using AI monitoring.
Implement artificial intelligent to co-manage end user’s in meeting support responsibility
Responsibilities
Reviews construction plans for new meeting rooms and specifies correct room requirements according to Equinix’s Global AV Standards
Reviews telecom needs with project stakeholders and creates programming sheets for telecom system programming
Assists project team with procurement of telecom hardware
Assists project team with procurement and oversight of audiovisual vendor for assigned projects
Supports vendor and internal stakeholders with commissioning and validation of new telecom and audiovisual systems
Coordinates and plans upcoming meetings and webinars with meeting stakeholders including executive administration and corporate real estate teams
During meetings and webinars, engineer may be responsible for controlling Q&A, recording, muting audience and advancing presentation content as coordinated with meeting hosts
After conclusion of meetings/webinars, engineer will coordinate delivery of post-meeting materials (recording links, chat transcripts, etc.) to event hosts
Monitors alerting platform for trouble with in production room systems and coordinates response from internal company resources and external vendors when necessary
Provides timely updates to trouble tickets and project status using appropriate tools
