Sales Executive (Japanese-Speaking) – F&B Trading & Import/Export

Our client, an established food import and distribution company supplying Japanese and local F&B businesses in Singapore, is looking for a Japanese-speaking Sales / Account executive to take ownership of a portfolio of existing accounts and grow it further.

This role suits someone who enjoys long-term client relationships rather than pure cold-calling — roughly 80–90% of the work is nurturing and expanding existing accounts, with the remainder focused on new business.

About the Role

・Manage and grow relationships with existing clients — Japanese and local F&B businesses (approx. 80–90% of the role)

・Develop new business opportunities through prospecting, networking and market research (approx. 10–20% of the role)

・Handle order processing, pricing negotiations and delivery coordination within approved guidelines

・Conduct client visits and product presentations, and respond promptly to enquiries

・Monitor market trends and competitor activity, sharing insights with internal stakeholders

・Develop and execute annual, monthly and weekly sales plans to meet or exceed targets

What We're Looking For

・Approximately 2+ years of B2B sales or account management experience

・Business-level proficiency in Japanese, as the role requires daily communication with Japanese-speaking clients, suppliers and counterparts

・Ability to conduct business in English for local clients and internal communication

・Prior working experience in Singapore

・Applicants must be eligible to work in Singapore without employer sponsorship

Advantageous

・Experience in trading / import-export (EXIM) or the F&B industry

・Valid Class 3 driving license — a company vehicle is provided for licensed drivers

Please Note

・The working week includes approximately two Saturday half-days per month (9am–1pm)

・As clients operate in the F&B sector, occasional brief responses to weekend enquiries may be required
