About the Role

Design, configure, and enhance ServiceNow ITAM capabilities, with a focus on HAM and SAM modules. Implement and support hardware asset lifecycle processes, including asset onboarding, receiving, stock management, assignment, transfer, audit, reconciliation, retirement, and disposal.

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain software asset management processes, including software normalization, license tracking, entitlement management, publisher compliance, reclamation, and optimization.
• Develop workflows, business rules, client scripts, script includes, UI policies, catalog items, flows, notifications, reports, and dashboards based on business requirements.
• Support integration of ServiceNow ITAM with discovery tools, CMDB, procurement systems, endpoint management tools, and third-party data sources.
• Ensure alignment between ITAM, CMDB, ITSM, ITOM, and asset lifecycle processes to improve data accuracy and operational visibility.
• Perform data imports, transform maps, reconciliation, normalization, and remediation activities to maintain asset data quality.
• Work with business stakeholders, process owners, architects, and platform teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable ServiceNow solutions.
• Prepare technical documentation, configuration documents, test scripts, deployment notes, and knowledge transfer materials.
• Support testing, defect resolution, production deployment, hypercare, and ongoing platform enhancements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of relevant ServiceNow development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in ServiceNow ITAM, especially HAM and SAM implementation or support.
• Good understanding of hardware and software asset lifecycle management processes.
• Experience in ServiceNow platform development, including scripting, Flow Designer, Service Catalog, ACLs, UI Actions, Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, and notifications.
• Experience with CMDB, Discovery, data normalization, reconciliation, and asset-to-CI relationships.
• Knowledge of SAM publisher compliance, software models, license metrics, entitlements, reclamation, and optimization practices.
• Experience with REST/SOAP integrations, IntegrationHub, import sets, transform maps, and scheduled jobs.
• Strong understanding of ITIL processes and how ITAM integrates with incident, change, request, procurement, and configuration management.
• Ability to troubleshoot platform issues, analyze defects, and provide practical technical solutions.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work with both technical and business stakeholders.

Required Skills

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – Hardware Asset Management (CIS-HAM).
• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – Software Asset Management (CIS-SAM).
• ITIL Foundation certification.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline. Equivalent relevant experience may also be considered.
