岗位职责

Report To : Head of SSHES Department (SSHES Manager)

Main Task:

To support the Head of SSHES Department in implementing and maintaining Safety, Security, Health, Environment & Sustainability (SSHES) programmes, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, customer expectations, and company standards.

The role is responsible for assisting in workplace safety monitoring, environmental initiatives, sustainability programmes, documentation, training activities, and continuous improvement efforts to strengthen the company’s safety culture and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Safety, Health & Workplace Monitoring:

  • Assist in implementing SSHES policies, procedures, and initiatives across office, warehouse, yard, and haulage operations.
  • Conduct routine workplace inspections, safety observations, and compliance monitoring.
  • Monitor PPE usage, unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support risk assessments, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment & Risk Control (HIRARC) activities.
  • Promote safety awareness and encourage a proactive safety culture among employees.

Security Management:

  • Assist in monitoring security-related activities and workplace security controls.
  • Support security incident reporting, investigation, and corrective action implementation.
  • Ensure compliance with company security procedures and customer requirements.

Training and Safety Awareness:

  • Assist in organising toolbox talks, safety briefings, campaigns, and awareness programmes.
  • Support the preparation of training materials, safety communication, and educational activities.
  • Ensure employees understand safety procedures, emergency response requirements, and company SSHES expectations.

Incident Investigation & Reporting:

  • Assist in investigating accidents, incidents, near misses, and environmental events.
  • Prepare incident reports and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
  • Monitor incident trends and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.

Documentation, Audit & Compliance:

  • Maintain SSHES records including inspections, training attendance, incident reports, audits, and corrective action tracking.
  • Assist in preparing monthly SSHES performance reports, statistics, and management updates.
  • Support internal and external audits conducted by customers, authorities, and certification bodies.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable legal requirements including OSHA 1994, Environmental Regulations, APAD ICOP, and other relevant requirements.

Environmental & Sustainability (ESG) Initiatives:

  • Support implementation of environmental programmes including waste management, pollution prevention, and resource conservation initiatives.
  • Assist in sustainability data collection, ESG reporting, and environmental performance monitoring.
  • Promote employee awareness on sustainability practices and environmental responsibilities.

Emergency Preparedness:

  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and conducting emergency response drills.
  • Support Emergency Response Team (ERT) activities and ensure emergency equipment readiness.
  • Identify gaps in emergency preparedness and recommend improvements.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Participate in SSHES improvement projects, campaigns, and company initiatives.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions to improve safety, environmental, and operational performance.
  • Support the Head of SSHES Department in achieving company SSHES objectives and targets.

Requirements:

Qualifications :

  • Diploma / Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Management, Sustainability, or related field.
  • Attended OSH-Coordinator Course

Experience :

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Safety, Health, Environment, Sustainability, or related field, preferably in logistics, warehouse, marine, or industrial operations.
  • Skills:
  • Knowledge of OSHA 1994, Environmental Regulations, and relevant safety standards.
  • Understanding of HIRARC, incident investigation, audit processes, and safety management systems.
  • Good communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to conduct training, inspections, and safety awareness programmes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety documentation preparation.
  • Strong commitment towards safety culture, environmental responsibility, and continuous improvement.

Pay: RM3,800.00 - RM4,500.00 per month

Education:

  • Diploma/Advanced Diploma (Required)

Experience:

  • Safety, Health, Environment & Sustainability: 2 years (Required)

Willingness to travel:

  • 75% (Preferred)
