We're Hiring: Backend Developer!

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Backend Developer to join our dynamic team in Kuala Lumpur. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in server-side programming, database management, and API development. We are looking for a motivated backend developer to support the development and enhancement of digital banking solutions within the retail banking domain. The role focuses on building scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services using Java and Spring-based frameworks. The ideal candidate will have hands-on development experience and a strong understanding of banking application environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services for digital banking platforms Build and enhance APIs and microservices using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot frameworks Collaborate with frontend developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders to deliver end-to-end solutions Develop and optimize database interactions using Oracle and SQL Participate in system integration and support activities across environments Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring system reliability and performance Contribute to code reviews, testing, and documentation Follow best practices in secure coding, performance optimization, and application scalability
  
  

Required Skills:

• 3-5 years of backend development experience in Java-based technologies Strong proficiency in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, XML, and SQL Experience working with Oracle databases Understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture Familiarity with Unix-based systems (HPUX, Linux, Solaris) Strong problem-solving and debugging skills Ability to work in a collaborative, Agile-driven environment Nice-to-Have Skills: Experience with Apache Camel (CXF), Spring Batch Knowledge of JavaScript and JSP for full-stack exposure Familiarity with Unix scripting Experience with WebLogic Portal or similar middleware platforms Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines Understanding of Agile methodologies and delivery frameworks Knowledge of management reporting or banking-related reporting systems
