Senior Java Developer

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Java Developer to design, develop, and support enterprise applications within a fast-paced technology environment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality software while contributing to the continuous improvement of existing platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java applications and backend services.
• Build scalable and reliable cloud-native solutions.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, QA, and business stakeholders to deliver technical solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following engineering best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and CI/CD processes to ensure software quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues while improving system performance and reliability.
• Prepare technical documentation and support software releases.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Must Have

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of Java development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Core Java and object-oriented programming.
• Experience building cloud-native applications, preferably on Azure.
• Experience with Kubernetes (AKS or similar container platforms).
• Strong understanding of unit testing and software engineering best practices.
• Experience with Linux, Windows, and CI/CD tools such as GitLab or GitHub.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Apache Kafka or other messaging technologies.
• Experience within banking or financial services.
• Experience working with globally distributed teams.
