Job Summary

You will prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets, analyze drawings and contracts for cost-saving opportunities, negotiate contracts, track project costs, and advise project teams on financial and contractual matters to ensure project success.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects to support accurate financial planning
• Analyze and interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize project costs
• Negotiate and manage subcontractor and supplier contracts to secure favorable terms and ensure timely delivery
• Track and report on project costs, variations, and cash flow to maintain financial control and transparency
• Advise project teams on financial and contractual matters to support informed decision-making and risk management
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards to uphold project integrity and safety

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
• At least 3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
• Excellent knowledge of construction materials, pricing, and cost estimation techniques
• Proficient in using quantity surveying software and MS Office suite
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills applied to cost management and contract evaluation
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
