Job Summary

GCH Retail (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an experienced and results-driven Team Leader – Perishable to oversee the daily operations of the Perishable Department. The successful candidate will lead the team, ensure product freshness and availability, maintain inventory accuracy and comply with food safety standards while delivering excellent customer service and achieving departmental sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the daily operations of the Perishable Department (Dairy, Chilled & Frozen).
• Ensure products are properly stocked, displayed and replenished to maximise sales and product availability.
• Monitor product freshness, quality and expiry dates to minimise wastage and shrinkage.
• Ensure proper stock rotation using FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expired, First Out) principles.
• Monitor and maintain the correct temperature of chilled and frozen storage areas and display units.
• Plan and manage inventory levels, stock ordering and replenishment.
• Prepare staff duty rosters and supervise team performance.
• Train, coach and develop team members on merchandising, product handling, food safety and customer service.
• Ensure compliance with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Food Safety, HACCP and hygiene standards.
• Monitor departmental sales performance and implement action plans to achieve sales and profitability targets.
• Ensure shelves, chillers and freezers are clean, well-organised and fully stocked.
• Handle customer enquiries, feedback and complaints professionally.
• Prepare daily operational reports and communicate with the Store Manager on departmental performance.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Store Manager or Management.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,200.00 per month

Experience:

• Retail sales: 1 year (Preferred)
