Account Manager

Job Summary

The Account Manager is responsible for overseeing the Company's accounting and finance operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective cash flow management, statutory compliance, and the overall financial health of the business. The role supports management by providing financial insights, maintaining strong internal controls, and ensuring efficient accounting processes across all outlets.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the Finance and Accounts Department.
• Manage the full set of accounts, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and financial forecasting.
• Ensure timely and accurate statutory submissions, including SST (where applicable), EPF, SOCSO, EIS, income tax, and other regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, bankers, company secretaries, and relevant government authorities.
• Review and approve payments, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial transactions.
• Monitor outlet financial performance, operating costs, and profitability, and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Develop and implement accounting policies, internal controls, and financial procedures.
• Lead, supervise, and develop the Accounts team to ensure operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
• Support management in business planning, financial analysis, and strategic decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS), tax regulations, and Company policies.
• Perform any other finance and accounting duties as assigned by the Management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, MIA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards, taxation, and statutory compliance.
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g. SQL Accounting, AutoCount) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
