Prepare and submit customs declarations (K1, K2, K3, K8, K9, ZB forms where applicable) through the Customs EDI system.
Review shipping documents such as Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading (B/L), Air Waybill (AWB), Certificate of Origin (COO), Import/Export Permits
Classify products using the correct HS Code / Tariff Code.
Verify customs duties, Sales Tax, SST and other applicable government charges.
Liaise with Royal Malaysian Customs Department (JKDM), MITI, MIDA, SIRIM and other government agencies regarding customs clearance and permit requirements.
Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, airlines, transport providers and customers to ensure smooth shipment clearance.
Monitor shipment status and resolve customs clearance issues promptly.
Maintain customs declaration records and supporting documentation for audit purposes.
Ensure compliance with Customs Act 1967, Free Zone regulations, Strategic Trade Act and other import/export regulations where applicable.
Support customs audits and internal compliance reviews.
Prepare reports on customs declarations, duty payments and shipment status.
Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Job Requirements
Education
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in:
Logistics
Supply Chain
International Business
Business Administration
Customs Administration or related discipline.
Experience
2–5 years' experience in Customs Declaration, Freight Forwarding or Import/Export Operations.
Experience using Customs EDI declaration systems.
Experience handling imports and export documentation.
