Position Overview
As a (Senior) Display Engineer, the candidate will lead the development of various display modules to be implemented in Amazon devices, including E Ink, LCD, OLED, and microLED technologies. This role requires a highly technical, multi-disciplinary approach in a fast-paced product development environment.
The ideal candidate is encouraged to work efficiently and strategically to advance new display module technologies that meet next-generation product requirements. A strong understanding of electrical engineering, optics, and materials/processes for display lamination is essential. Given that this role interacts with multiple cross-functional teams, excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) are required to effectively influence key stakeholders, both internal and external.
Key job responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end development of display modules for consumer electronic devices
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, firmware, and manufacturing engineering
Drive display technology innovation to meet product performance, cost, and reliability targets
Conduct electrical and optical characterization, testing, and validation of display modules
Identify and resolve display-related issues through structured root cause analysis
Interface with external suppliers and partners to ensure component quality and delivery
Document technical specifications, test results, and design reviews

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent
Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production
Experience with the project management of technical projects
