Java Spring Boot Developer | KL (Onsite/Hybrid) | 12-Month Renewable Contract

We're looking for a Java Spring Boot Developer to join a project team supporting a leading insurance project in Kuala Lumpur.

About the Role
You'll design and implement backend services and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot, working closely with front-end developers, product managers, and technical leads to deliver robust, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement RESTful APIs and backend services using Java/Spring Boot
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate APIs and support end-to-end functionality
• Participate in daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
• Write unit and integration tests (JUnit, Mockito) to ensure application quality and performance
• Work with databases and data models for efficient data storage, retrieval, and manipulation
• Package and support deployment releases

What We're Looking For

• Hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot, ideally in a production environment
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and implementation
• Solid knowledge of database systems, SQL, and data modeling
• Familiarity with Git and agile development methodologies
• Exposure to testing frameworks like JUnit and Mockito is a plus
• Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes is a plus
• AWS exposure (EC2, S3, RDS, EKS) is a bonus, not required
• Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset

• Contract: 12 months, renewable based on project continuity

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM7,500.00 per month
