What The Role Is
You conduct research and horizon-scanning to formulate MINDEF/SAF's Human Resource (HR) digital and data transformation strategy, aiming to uplift the HR domain to be future-ready and digitally competent in achieving MINDEF/SAF's HR strategic outcomes of attracting and developing a committed and capable workforce.
What You Will Be Working On
- Conduct research and horizon-scanning for HR digital and data transformation
- Identify emerging HR technology trends and translate findings into strategic recommendations
- Collaborate with entities across MINDEF/SAF to design and align HR digital and data platforms, identifying cross-departmental synergies and co-creating proposals that strengthen the HR operating model
- Address a wide range of topics (e.g., digital strategy, digitalisation concepts, change management)
- Establish governance frameworks, data quality standards, and scalable data architectures that enable workforce analytics and evidence-based decision-making
- Enable accessibility of complex data concepts while ensuring compliance with MINDEF and regulatory requirements
- Perform monthly secretariat duties to a key HR forum driving HR digital transformation across the organisation
Challenge(s) - Navigating the complexities of a dynamic, high-tempo role with significant ambiguity, requiring strong judgement, interpersonal sensitivity, and the ability to engage stakeholders across all levels to gain buy-in and drive timely follow-through
- Building knowledge rapidly across manpower policies, HR processes, and technology and security frameworks, while adapting as the role evolves alongside the digital landscape
What We Are Looking For
- Education in Human Resource, Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Resource Management or a related field
- Prior work experience in research, HR/HR IT, portfolio management, and enterprise strategic planning is advantageous
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders across all levels of the organisation
- Strong analytical, jugement, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Adaptable to changes
