Role Description The Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Kuala Lumpur.


This role is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, including recording financial transactions, preparing journal entries, and maintaining accurate general ledgers. The Accountant will prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, support budgeting and forecasting activities, and assist with cash flow management.


Daily tasks also include handling accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank and credit accounts, and ensuring timely invoice processing and payments. The role involves supporting audit processes, maintaining compliance with local accounting standards and tax regulations, and collaborating with other departments to provide financial insights for decision-making.


Salary Range - RM3000-RM4000

Qualifications

  • Solid knowledge of financial accounting principles, general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting.
  • Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, and cash flow management.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (SQL) and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Understanding of Malaysian financial regulations, tax requirements, and audit procedures.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines, prioritize tasks, and work independently on-site.
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
  • Relevant experience in corporate or public sector accounting; exposure to sourcing, trading, or services industries is a plus.
