Job Summary

We are seeking a strategic Associate Director – Cost Management with specialized MEP expertise to lead large-scale, complex cost commissions. In this senior leadership role, you will drive project financial strategy, manage key client partnerships, mentor commercial teams, and maintain tight cost controls while enforcing high standards of professional integrity.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Governance: Provide direct line management, performance coaching, and career development for cost managers; uphold exemplary business ethics and professional standards.

Client & Stakeholder Partnership: Act as the primary client representative, leading multi-disciplinary teams (clients, consultants, and contractors) to deliver high-value, client-focused cost solutions.

Strategic Planning & Value Creation: Establish cost benchmarks and execution KPIs; critically evaluate project requirements to deliver innovative, value-add alternatives for client investments.

Commission Delivery & Project Controls: Lead end-to-end service delivery for major or multiple commissions (as Commission Manager), owning and presenting final cost plans and estimates.

Financial & Risk Oversight: Track budget performance, evaluate key cost drivers, manage scope variations, and report financial health throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Cost Management, Quantity Surveying, Construction, or Engineering (Master’s Degree is a plus).

MEP & Contract Expertise:

Specialized MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) cost management expertise.

Strong working knowledge and practical experience with PSSCOC (Public Sector Standard Conditions of Contract).

Experience: Minimum 10 years of progressive cost management or construction industry experience across client, consultancy, or contractor environments.

Core Competencies:

Proven leadership skills to manage teams and complex commissions independently.
