Role: Software Engineer

KEY FEATURES OF THE POSITION

• Involve in the implementation of Java based application for head office for multiple booking centres.
• Passionate about technologies, building robust and scalable interfaces and local developments
• Hands on experience in analysis, design, coding, and implementation of complex and custom-built solution
• Work collaboratively with team to achieve goals. Experience working in a Safe Agile environment
• Stake holder management – working closely with program stakeholders, business change engineers, and project managers to drive and manage IT delivery.
• Drive and review technical and architectural design, enforce architectural guidelines and challenge status quo
• Take responsibility for ensuring that risks and issues are identified and managed closely and delivered on time and to the required quality standards
• Demonstration of appropriate values and behaviours including but not limited to standards on honesty and integrity, due care and diligence, fair dealing (treating customers fairly), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, adequate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations

SKILLS REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION

PROFESSIONAL

• 10-12 years of hands on development experience in designing and developing enterprise-scale applications.
• Well organized and ability to prioritise and carry out multiple tasks. Able to influence and drive projects to meet key milestones and overcome challenges.
• Able to translate functional requirements to efficient and fit-for-purpose technical solutions
• Preferably, have experience in finance/ banking / Wealth management domain
• Domain knowledge on Corporate Actions domain is a plus
• Communicate highly technical issues to non-technical audience
• Understand business / system requirements and translate them into technical solutions that are scalable, stable, and fit for purpose.
• Ensure adherence to the bank standards (including code, security and performance)
• Work collaboratively with team to achieve goals. Experience working in Agile methodologies, such as Scrum, and/or Extreme programming

Technical:

• Strong programming skills in Java (8/11/17).
• Expertise in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, JBOSS, and Microservices.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Knowledge of Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or IBM MQ.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Design, Design Patterns, and SOLID principles.
• Experience with unit testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito).
• Strong computer science knowledge (algorithms, data structures, object-oriented design)
