Job Title: VMware Infrastructure Engineer

Experience: 5+ Years

Job Summary

We are looking for a VMware Infrastructure Engineer with strong experience in physical server management and VMware virtualization. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in VMware ESXi, vCenter, virtual machine administration, and infrastructure support.

Must-Have Skills

• 5+ years of experience in VMware Infrastructure Administration.
• Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter Server.
• Experience building, configuring, and maintaining physical servers.
• Strong knowledge of VM provisioning, vMotion, cloning, templates, and resource management.
• Experience with server hardware, storage, networking, and virtualization.
• Hands-on experience in patching, upgrades, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Experience providing L2/L3 infrastructure support.

Good-to-Have Skills

• VMware Horizon, NSX, or vSAN.
• Windows Server and Linux administration.
• Backup & Disaster Recovery solutions.
• Azure or AWS exposure.
• VMware certifications (VCP/VCAP).
• PowerShell, PowerCLI, or Shell scripting.
• ITIL environment experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, configure, and maintain physical servers.
• Install, administer, and support VMware ESXi hosts and vCenter.
• Create and manage virtual machines, templates, and VM migrations.
• Perform VMware upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.
• Monitor infrastructure performance and optimize resource utilization.
• Troubleshoot server, storage, networking, and virtualization issues.
• Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity activities.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and application teams.
• Maintain technical documentation and ensure security and compliance.
