Senior Manager, Technical Services

Position Summary

Oversee the Technical Services Reliability and Aircraft Maintenance Programme function in accordance with company procedures and industry best practices to deliver the airline’s business goals.

Reporting to the Senior Manager (Head of) Technical Services, the position holder will manage the performance, career development, and welfare of a team of technical services personnel. The position holder will also provide technical leadership over the Reliability and AMP functions and actively manage internal and external relationships in order to deliver assigned KPIs. Finally, ensuring regulatory compliance, safety, and airworthiness at all times is a non-negotiable within Malaysian Airlines CAMO, and the position holder will play an important role in this.

Key Accountabilities

• Be the custodian of the MAB Reliability Programme (RP) and Aircraft Maintenance Programme (AMP) to ensure all fleets under management are maintained to an optimum standard and remain in compliance with CAAM requirements.
• Drive Technical Dispatch Reliability of all assigned fleets, operating cross-functionally to influence stakeholders at various levels of seniority, in order to achieve assigned fleet and component operational performance targets.
• Take responsibility for the effectiveness of the RP and AMP and continuously undertake initiatives to improve and optimise both programmes.
• Ensure the level of reliability achieved is commensurate with fleet cost of ownership
• Ensure data being consumed is of the highest standard and act swiftly to resolve any issues
• Provide high quality reliability studies and ensure timely reliability reporting to CAAM and other MAG stakeholders.
  
  

Qualifications And Years Of Experience

• Degree in Engineering with 7 years’ experience in aircraft maintenance and reliability program
  
  

Areas Of Experience

• To ensure RP and AMP is updated in a timely manner as mandated by CAAM to ensure continuing airworthiness.
• To ensure effective execution of RP and AMP as mandated by CAAM to ensure continuing airworthiness.
  
  

Skill & Knowledge

• Highly knowledgeable in aircraft maintenance and reliability program, aircraft maintenance best practices, engineering maintenance management computer systems and technical publications
• Good analytical skill - ability to gather information, analyse and make decisions
• Good leadership and communication skills
