Job Responsibilities:

• Develop, establish and improve spraying processes for powder coating, wet painting and other surface treatment processes.
• Review customer drawings and specifications to determine suitable painting/coating requirements.
• Develop and maintain spraying process parameters, work instructions and process standards.
• Optimize paint/coating quality, appearance, adhesion, thickness and curing conditions.
• Troubleshoot spraying defects such as colour variation, orange peel, runs, pinholes, poor adhesion and uneven coating.
• Support new product introduction (NPI) and conduct process trials for new products and materials.
• Work closely with Production, Quality and Engineering teams to improve process efficiency and reduce defects and wastage.
• Monitor and control paint, powder coating and other chemical/material usage.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for process and quality issues.
• Provide technical guidance and training to spraying operators.
• Ensure spraying processes comply with customer requirements, company standards and safety requirements.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in powder coating, wet painting or industrial spraying processes is preferred.
• Experience in sheet metal manufacturing or metal surface treatment will be an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of coating processes, paint defects and troubleshooting.
• Good analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Pay: From RM9,999.00 per month
