SUMMARY OF THE ROLE


The Manager will proactively monitor market changes/ trends to develop competitive and cost-efficient programs that will enhance employee retention and talent attraction. The role will also serve as the Subject Matter Expert for compensation and benefits policies, frameworks, and programmes, providing advisory support to stakeholders while driving effective communication, education, and implementation across the organisation.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Develop, review, and implement compensation and benefits policies, programmes, and frameworks to support organisational objectives and workforce strategies.
  • Conduct regular market benchmarking, salary surveys, and analysis of compensation and benefits trends to ensure competitiveness, internal equity, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the design, implementation, administration, and periodic review of employee benefits programmes, including group insurance, healthcare, wellness, and other employee well-being initiatives. Monitor utilisation trends and recommend enhancements to optimise programme effectiveness and value.
  • Develop and maintain job evaluation and salary structure frameworks to support fair and consistent remuneration practices across the organisation.
  • Support and lead annual and ad hoc salary, bonus, allowance, and benefits reviews across multiple entities, including compensation modelling, benchmarking, analysis, and implementation, while ensuring accurate and timely payroll execution.
  • Support the Team Lead in overseeing the administration and governance of employee insurance schemes and benefits programmes, and collaborate with brokers, consultants, and insurers on policy renewals and enhancements.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert on compensation and benefits matters, providing guidance and policy interpretation to management, HR stakeholders, and employees.
  • Drive communication and employee education initiatives on compensation and benefits programmes, addressing enquiries and ensuring clear understanding of policies, processes, and entitlements.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, including panel clinic operators, health screening providers, insurers, and consultants, to ensure effective service delivery and a positive employee experience.
  • Lead procurement activities and contract management for compensation and benefits-related services, ensuring appropriate governance, value-for-money, and compliance with organisational requirements.
  • Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning exercises related to compensation and benefits expenditure, including the preparation of business cases and approval papers for new or enhanced programmes.
  • Provide mentorship, and supervisory guidance to team members, fostering capability development and ensuring the effective delivery of compensation and benefits services and initiatives.

Education Requirement(s):

  • Degree holder


Key Qualities:

  • Ability to work within tight deadlines and engage stakeholders and partners from all levels.
  • Excellent skills in MS Office (particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Highly numerate, meticulous and possessstrong analytical and problem-solving skills, and decision-making skills
  • Aptitude to work in a fast-paced, changing environment and deal with ambiguity
  • A good understanding of compensation and benefits programs.
