Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Quality Assurance Quality Control Engineer role based in the Seri Manjung, Perak, Malaysia. The role involves planning and executing QA/QC procedures for electrical power infrastructure projects, including transmission lines and substations. Daily tasks include inspecting materials and workmanship, conducting quality audits, monitoring compliance with engineering standards and regulatory requirements, and preparing detailed quality reports. The engineer collaborates closely with project managers, site engineers, and contractors to resolve non-conformities, implement corrective and preventive actions, and continuously improve quality management processes. The role also includes maintaining documentation, supporting client and regulatory inspections, and promoting a strong safety and quality culture on site.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Quality Control and Inspection, including material and workmanship checks, site inspections, and verification of construction activities against specifications.
• Candidates should possess solid Quality Assurance and Quality Management capabilities, covering development and implementation of QA plans, procedures, and documentation for engineering and construction projects.
• Candidates should possess experience in Quality Auditing, including internal and external audits, non-conformance analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Possession of a valid CIDB Green Card is required.
• Experience in power infrastructure projects (transmission and substation) and familiarity with TNB standards and local regulatory requirements is highly beneficial.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work collaboratively on site, communicate clearly with multidisciplinary teams, and manage multiple tasks within project timelines.
• Knowledge of ISO quality management systems and basic safety regulations in construction environments is an advantage.
