Our client, a well-established company in the consulting and professional services industry, is looking for an Associate SAS Programmer to join its growing team based in Kuala Lumpur.
This is an excellent opportunity for fresh graduates and junior professionals who are interested in clinical data programming and statistical analysis. You'll receive structured training while working on clinical trial data processing, gaining hands-on experience with SAS programming, CDISC standards, and regulatory-compliant data management.
Training Requirement:
- Successful candidates must be willing to undergo 6 months of on-the-job training in Guangzhou, China before returning to the Kuala Lumpur office.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Able to communicate fluently in Mandarin and English (required for training and business communication).
- Basic knowledge or exposure to SAS programming is preferred.
- Familiarity with R* or Python* is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of CDISC (SDTM) standards is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling data.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Able to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
- Responsible, proactive, and eager to learn.
- Willing to relocate temporarily to Guangzhou, China for a 6-month training programme.
Responsibilities
- Convert raw clinical trial data into SDTM datasets according to study protocols, CRFs, and CDISC standards.
- Develop and maintain SDTM documentation, including specifications, define files, and CRF annotations.
- Validate SDTM datasets to ensure accuracy, consistency, and regulatory compliance.
- Compare multiple data transfer batches using SAS to identify discrepancies and data changes.
- Perform manual data quality checks to ensure complete and accurate data conversion.
- Use validation tools such as Pinnacle 21 to identify and resolve data validation issues.
- Develop patient profiles and support data reruns when required.
- Maintain SAS programs with proper documentation and version control.
- Prepare project deliverables and document data processing issues.
- Collaborate with statisticians, statistical programmers, and cross-functional teams to support project objectives.
- Perform additional duties assigned by management.
Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
