Job Summary

The Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene and organisation within the kitchen and food preparation areas. The role supports the Food & Beverage operations by ensuring kitchen equipment, utensils and work areas are maintained in accordance with the resort's hygiene and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, stewarding and food preparation areas.
• Ensure kitchen equipment, utensils and tableware are cleaned, sanitised and properly stored.
• Support the kitchen team in maintaining an organised and efficient working environment.
• Handle waste disposal in accordance with hygiene and environmental standards.
• Monitor the cleanliness and condition of kitchen equipment and report any defects.
• Ensure adequate cleaning supplies are available for daily operations.
• Comply with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.
• Carry out any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the immediate superior.

Job Requirements

• Minimum SPM or equivalent.
• Experience in stewarding, kitchen operations or food service is an added advantage.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual duties.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
