Job Description

Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong eye for detail and a passion for project costing? We are looking for a proactive and analytical individual to support our commercial and project teams in preparing accurate quotations, cost estimates, and tender submissions.

In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring competitive pricing, maintaining project profitability, and supporting the successful delivery of engineering and industrial projects. • Prepare quotations, cost estimates and tender submissions based on customer requirements and project specifications.
• Review tender documents, engineering drawings, specifications and Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
• Perform quantity take-offs and calculate material quantities from engineering drawings.
• Source and obtain quotations from suppliers, vendors and subcontractors.
• Evaluate supplier quotations and prepare project costing, pricing and profit margin analysis.
• Prepare project budgets and support the Project Manager in monitoring project costs.
• Assist in preparing variation quotations and project-related commercial documentation where required.
• Coordinate with the Sales, Project, Procurement and Finance teams to ensure accurate project costing and smooth project execution.
• Maintain accurate costing records, quotation files and tender documentation.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend value engineering solutions where appropriate.
• Assist with other commercial and project-related duties as assigned by management.

Profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying, estimating or tendering.
• Experience in Mechanical & Electrical (M&E), piping, valves or related engineering industries will be an added advantage.
• Able to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with AutoCAD will be an added advantage.
• Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication, negotiation and organisational skills.
• Responsible, organised and detail-oriented.
• Ability to manage multiple quotations and tenders within tight deadlines.
