Company Description Marposs is a leading global supplier of precision metrology equipment for shop-floor inspection, measurement, and process control solutions. The company provides gauging and compensation systems for grinders and other machine tools, as well as manual gauges, sensors, probes, and other gauge components. Marposs also delivers automatic measurement and inspection systems, along with industrial computers, hardware, and software for data collection, process analysis, SPC, and process control. In addition, the company offers equipment for leak detection, non-destructive testing, and functional checks, serving a wide range of industrial applications.
Role Description The Sales Application Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Greater Kuala Lumpur. This role is responsible for supporting the sales process by understanding customer requirements, proposing suitable metrology and inspection solutions, and preparing technical and commercial offers. Day-to-day tasks include conducting product demonstrations, providing technical advice, and coordinating application studies and trials with internal engineering teams. The Sales Application Engineer will visit customer sites, assist with installation and commissioning support, and offer post-sales technical assistance to ensure customer satisfaction. The role also involves maintaining accurate sales and project documentation, contributing to market feedback, and collaborating with the sales team to achieve revenue and growth targets.
Qualifications

• Strong sales-oriented skills, including Sales and Sales Engineering, with the ability to understand customer needs and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• Solid technical foundation in Mechanical Engineering, with practical knowledge of machine tools, precision measurement, and industrial automation.
• Relevant expertise in Electrical Engineering and Technical Support to assist with system integration, troubleshooting, and customer training.
• Experience working with industrial equipment, metrology systems, or process control solutions is highly beneficial.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related field) or equivalent practical experience.
• Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact confidently with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to work on-site at customer facilities, manage multiple assignments, and travel within the Greater Kuala Lumpur region and occasionally beyond.
• Proficiency in technical documentation, basic data analysis, and use of standard office and engineering software tools.
