We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and motivated Competitive Gymnastics Coach to join our coaching team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality training programs for competitive gymnasts while fostering a positive, disciplined, and athlete-centered environment. This role requires a commitment to athlete development, safety, and excellence in coaching.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate training sessions for competitive gymnasts.
- Develop athletes' technical skills, physical conditioning, and competition readiness.
- Prepare athletes for local, regional, national, and international competitions.
- Monitor athlete progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Create individualized training plans based on athletes' abilities and goals.
- Ensure a safe training environment by following all gymnastics safety standards and risk management procedures.
- Work collaboratively with fellow coaches, parents, and club management.
- Maintain accurate attendance, athlete development records, and competition registrations.
- Mentor junior coaches and assist in coach education where appropriate.
- Promote positive sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, and athlete well-being.
Qualifications
- Nationally recognized Gymnastics Coaching Certification (or equivalent).
- Current First Aid, CPR, and child safeguarding certification.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience coaching competitive gymnastics.
- Strong technical knowledge of gymnastics skills, progressions, and competition rules.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire athletes of varying ages and abilities.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and travel for competitions as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience coaching athletes at club level.
- Knowledge of strength and conditioning for gymnastics.
- Experience with athlete performance planning and long-term athlete development.
- Judge certification or additional coaching qualifications are an advantage.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $4,000.00 - $4,500.00 per month
