Job Purpose
Work with manufacturing team to ensure successful definition, development and implementation of new products introductions and innovative techniques to improve manufacturing methods and efficiency. Provide engineering support to improve efficiency, productivity and quality. Assigned tasks will involve trouble-shooting, analysis, testing and documentation activities
Responsibilities
- Coordinates and implements activities related to the definition, development and introduction of new products into manufacturing
- Coordinates the improvement of workstation and production line layouts, space utilization and methods through interactive participation with assemblers, technicians and engineers
- Identifies, recommends and implements manufacturing process, alternative manufacturing techniques, equipments, material handling and storage techniques for efficient material flow through manufacturing
- Identifies, recommends and implements improvements to manufacturing work identification, process documentation and results reporting methods
- To maintain and control all Engineering products documents
- Solve product issues with emphasis on optimizing functionality and quality within the applicable cost and schedule constraints.
- Work closely with the R & D team to develop products that satisfy the manufacturing and customers’ needs
- To fabricate and test run of production moulds and jigs/fixtures before handover to production for mass production.
- To ensure meeting volume, delivery, DPPM target IQC/ OQC, yield, productivity and take-out –cost.
- Projects future space and equipment requirements based upon business plans and forecasts.

Qualifications
- Degree in Manufacturing/Mechanical/Material Engineering with minimum 2-3 related experience or Diploma in Manufacturing/Mechanical/Material Engineering with minimum of 5 years related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or work experience
Skills
- Knowledge of manufacturing bill of material (B.O.M), process development. Statistical Process Control (SPC), FMEA, DFx, process documentation and reporting systems.
- Computer literate
- Possess problem solving skill, good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Willing to travel or relocate
