Job Summary
Manage and oversee electrical projects from planning to completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget while coordinating with stakeholders and maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage electrical projects from initial planning through to successful completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets
- Review and interpret electrical drawings to guide accurate site execution
- Plan and schedule work based on project timelines and construction sequences to optimize resource allocation
- Arrange and coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project progress
- Monitor project costs and control budgets to maximize productivity and profitability
- Coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to align project objectives
- Ensure all works comply with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards
- Prepare and submit regular reports detailing project progress, manpower deployment, work schedules, and cost performance
- Identify and resolve site issues promptly to maintain project schedules and budget compliance
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience with a Main Contractor or Electrical Subcontractor in Singapore
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings independently
- Knowledge of project budgeting, cost control, and material planning
- Strong understanding of construction work sequences to plan manpower and resources effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
- Valid Singapore Class 3 Driving Licence
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Project planning, coordination, and communication skills to support effective project execution
- Communication skills to liaise with clients, consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Self-motivation, responsibility, and results orientation with leadership and problem-solving capabilities
- Experience managing multiple electrical construction projects.
- Good knowledge of Singapore electrical regulations and construction practices.
- Relevant safety certifications or electrical-related qualifications will be an advantage.
